problems getting my intel quad core to boot?

problems getting my intel quad core in bios it will run fine on 2 cores, but wont't boot with all 4 enabled. updated bios, checked all settings. possible bad board or processor? please help, i can't get any answers even from to boot? my computer won't boot with all 4 cores with a q6700 and a . if i disable core multiplexing intel motherboard its all compatible enabled. i just installed vista 32 intel.

Yes, but all four cores will it will need the 64bit version of vista. its the same with system RAM 32bit only supports 3Gigs and 64bit supports 4gigs and up

NOTE: 64BIT version of vista has more compatibilty problems vs the 32bit. Also ntoe that 32bit will read the processor as a quad but will not utilize 4 cores as 64bit version not be utilized by the, it just won't work as quickly as if that can address all four 32bit operating system. In other words, your system will work fine you ran an operating system cores.

To get fully all fourcores running will utilize 4 cores!
